MIRI Spectrometer example

The Mid-InfraRed Instrument is one of the 3 instruments for the James Webb Space Telescope. The spectrometer pre-optics module was designed and built by ATC engineers.

The module is very complex with extremely strict tolerances on dimensions and positions. Because it will be used in space, all of the assembly and integration had to be carried out in clean room conditions.
